Valerie's Favorite Cake Recipe AKA The only cake you are ever going to want to eat
A few years ago, one of my friends came to my house and she brought the most incredible chocolate cake I had ever tasted. I demanded the recipe. Since that introduction, I have probably made this cake at least once a month. (No self-control, people!)
Anyway, it's dang good. Like, crazy good. Like, send your husband to the store in the middle of the night because suddenly you have to make this cake and there's no stopping you good. That good.
Anyhow, because I love my friends almost as much as I love this cake, I need to share this recipe! (Warning: You will probably love this cake and want to eat it all the time. ALL. THE. TIME.)
Too Much Chocolate Cake:
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup oil
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup warm water
1 box Devil's Food cake mix
1 box instant chocolate pudding mix
2 cups Chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix ingredients and fold in chocolate chips. Pour batter into well-greased bundt pan. (Grease that pan good. For real. Last time I made this, my cake got stuck. It was delicious... but definitely not pretty.)
Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes. Cool. Remove from pan. Top with powdered sugar. Devour. Thank me.

Summer's Walnut Chocolate Chip Cookie
I'm a purist when it comes to my food and my hands down favorite cookie is Chocolate Chip with walnuts. Let me repeat, WALNUTS. An amazing nut that walnut is, it looks like a little brain and tastes so delicious! Something about the nuttiness with chocolate. I have to have equal amounts of chocolate, cookie and nuts or it just doesn't taste right. This is a problem in my household since I'm the only one who likes nuts but I make this recipe sans nuts for my hubby and two ladies but I make sure to make a dozen of nutty deliciousness all to myself. Hope you make these soon and think of me and my obsession with walnuts.
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 (3.4 oz) box instant pudding, vanilla or white chocolate flavored
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together. Set aside.
3. Using a stand mixer, beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and pudding mix for 2-3 minutes. Scrape down bowl as needed.
4. On slow, add eggs one at a time. Scrape down bowl in between eggs.
5. Add vanilla extract.
6. Slowly add flour mixture and mix until combined.
7. Add chocolate chips and walnuts and mix.
8. Place dough balls the size of golf balls on cookie sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
We hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Stay sweet!
Xoxo!
